Ever since my childhood bedroom was painted peach, I have loved the glow and warmth peachy coral colors add to a room. This week I pairing my peachy coral pillow collection with some of the gorgeous pillows from Caitlin Wilson Textiles, as well as some finds from Serena & Lily and Mokkasin.
One of my favorite makers from the Brooklyn Renegade Craft Fair last weekend is Becky of Dirtsa Studios. Becky uses her love for academics and incredible creativity to make some really fun pillows and accessories for the home, and beyond.

I love Dirtsa Studio’s science diagram pillows, that are made with felt applique in beautiful colors that are appealing for their unique subject matter as much as their design. I can think of a few doctors, nurses and teachers who would love these, not to mention some science-loving kids!
I recently discovered a very special new store that has cropped up in Chatham, Massachusetts, and everyone who frequents Cape Cod just has to know about it! Found Home is the creative genius of Jennifer Runnels, who pours her heart and soul (and unbelievable talent) into this little shop full of gorgeous finds for the home.
Drawing on her training as a fine artist, and twenty years of experience working in the furniture and interior design fields, she has a special eye for unique and sophisticated home design. (more…)
This holiday season, I recommend staying out of the malls and sticking to local shopping of the high-end nature at any of these wonderful artisan fairs around Boston (click for details): The Brookline Marketplace, Saturday November 9th, The Meadowbrook School Holiday Fair in Weston, Saturday November 16, and The Wellesley Marketplace, Saturday, November 23rd! Cheeky Monkey Home will be at all three, and we can’t wait!
This Saturday, November 9th is our first artisan fair (The Brookline Marketplace), and we have been cutting and sewing like crazy to get a nice supply of pillows and floor cushions ready for shoppers. As you can see, I have turned my dining room into a “staging area” so I can be sure my booth set-up works!
These amazing headbands and clips are making their debut for the holidays too!
Last week I painted this lovely bedroom for a little girl who loves butterflies, almost as much as her incredible collection of stuffed animals.

I collaborated with interior designer Lysa Wilkins, whom I love working with because she is so creative in all of her work. She came up with this fun fence that extends into the room and contains a managerie of stuffed animals. They fondly call this “The Nest“! (more…)
Every so often I get a custom order for a pillow that makes me want to hug my client. This camp pillow was a housewarming gift for a family with a classic Maine “camp”, where generations come together and enjoy all the outdoor activities that New England has to offer.

This adorable patch idea was the genius of my client, who is brilliantly creative and fun in all of her endeavors. She wanted to represent all of the great Maine camp activities with patches, much like we got as girl scouts long ago! Isn’t this just the cutest, classic gift idea? (more…)
School’s out and we spent the first weekend of summer at the Cape. I love the inspiration I get from the sea air and all of the gorgeous nature Cape Cod offers.
This is Greenland Pond, in Brewster, where we canoe and swim after a salty day at the beach. You can see the roots of the lily pads all the way to the bottom of the pond, and some of the lilies are blooming under water! (more…)
I am just a fool for Mexico. I love the color, the style, the pottery, the art, the jewelry, and of course the food. I truly cannot get enough and I think it must be in my blood from my grandparents’ travels there as painters during their retirement. I have only been there once but I inherited many Mexican treasures that inspire me every day.
